Nurture Yourself and Your Baby

The ancient Indian practice of yoga combines meditation, breathing, affirmation, and movement to make a meaningful connection with your body, mind, and spirit. This session is a wonderful opportunity to embrace this exciting stage of life. Classes focus on nurturing the ever changing pregnant body, learning useful tools for labor and getting some much needed relaxation. As a pregnant mama, you can use these practices to become more consciously aware of the amazing changes your body is going through and nurture a bond with your baby.

Safe for pregnancy and suitable for complete beginners through advanced yogis, these classes and I are here to hold space for you and your growing family.

Meet Gayatri

My nursing background led me to working in a high-risk Labor and Delivery Unit supporting hundreds of women through the journey into motherhood.
A call for spiritual answers, led me to take time away from the clinical setting and travel to the Ananda Meditation Retreat in Northern California. I lived, studied, and served here for over two years attuning myself to the teachings of the Indian Guru, Paramhansa Yogananda. I became a disciple and am a twice daily practitioner of yoga and meditation. During this time I became certified as a yoga and meditation instructor, and have taken additional training in prenatal yoga, restorative yoga, and spiritual counseling.
I now live at Ananda Village, a spiritual community founded by a direct disciple of Yogananda. It is my joy and inspiration to share the practices that have changed my life with others. I am deeply inspired to work more directly with prenatal mamas, to share the experience and wisdom I gained from the clinical setting but also integrate the Eastern teachings to foster a meaningful and sacred birthing experience. 

I really look forward to sharing time with each one of you and hope to be of support to you and your baby during this sacred time.
